Process Post #10: Google Site Kit & Analytics

Today in class the focus was on a deeper dive into Google Analytics. Gaining access to two programs: “Get Started Using Google Analytics 4” & “Using Google Analytics 4 for Your Business.” The courses go in depth about the process of using and learning many features on the program. It was very interesting to see the interworks on how the program works and understanding the fundamentals of it. One of the main things that stood out from the “get started” is how there are levels and “subcategories” that you have set up in order to monitor the different streams that you have. Whether it be an app on Android or Apple or a website, everything is connected by the Account -> Property -> Data Stream. Under the Account is the main hub for all of the different properties and data streams. It contains a general catalogue of all of the information that is being collected. The Property section keeps a hold on all of the information gathered about data collected from the sites or apps on the account, in my case it would be the website and it is found within the Account as a subsection. The last main section is the Data Stream. It lives in the Property section, and is is the main source of data from the website. There can only be one Account, with as many Properties, and Properties can have many data streams to be the source of data.

I have been keeping track and consistently viewing my Google Site Kit that generally has all of the information. There is not much information and data that I can comment on, other than there has been some increase in impressions and visitation on my website which is amazing. Gradually the number has been climbing, and hopefully there can be a relatively consistent stream of visitors.
